Africa 2.0 was founded by Mamadou Toure in 2010, based on the belief that with a unifying vision and a “coalition of the willing”, Africans could accelerate the development of the continent.
This vision for Africa is set out in our Manifesto – a 133-page document, is a result of over 23,000 hours of research and brainstorming, by a group of young leaders, all experts in their fields and scholars of Africa. The document has since been endorse by 43 Ministers of education and is the core of all our activity, ensuring alignment and direction as well as providing hope and inspiration to our community.
The Manifesto contains a systemic, and strategic framework that seeks to address the root-causes of challenges that Africa faces – and it outlines how African people can and must lead the way in overcoming these challenges, to real and thoughtful solutions that result in lasting change in Africa.
The solutions we look for are designed to leap-frog development, and we pilot creative and innovative projects and then scale these up by activating our global network of leaders across all our Chapters.
